It clears, strengthens, and renews the mind-body connection to welcome in healing, clarity, and connection. The intention of a Reiki session is to support healing and activate your body’s natural healing ability. To heal is to be whole.

The Origin of Reiki

The practise of Reiki began in Japan in the 19th century when Mikao Usui was seeking a way to share the esoteric science of Buddhist healing to benefit others. During 21 days of meditation at a monastery and sacred mountain, Usui became enlightened with how to share ancient Sanskrit symbols and healing techniques for anyone and everyone to experience and benefit from.

Answering your Frequently Asked Questions about Reiki.

What happens during a Reiki session?

We start with a check-in of how you are feeling and what you may be experiencing that brought you to
the Reiki session. Once on the table, I then guide you through breath, visualizations and the mind &
body connection to experience the restorative nature that Reiki brings. We close with sharing
any images, sensations or insight you and I received.

How long is a Reiki session?

Reiki sessions are 1-1.5 hours in length.

How will I feel after a Reiki session?

“Lighter, Clearer, and Relaxed” are the most common responses to how someone feels after a Reiki session.

Generally, one experiences relief in the first session. Depending on your call to experience Reiki, you
may find benefits in 3-5 sessions over a 3 – 6 month period.

I'm not sure what Reiki is.

Reiki is based on ancient Buddhist teachings about how to activate the body’s natural healing system and increase spiritual connection.  Reiki is the ultimate in self-care experiences for those looking to align their energy, activate physical, mental, and emotional healing, and relieve stress.

How can Reiki help me?

An alternative and complementary treatment to promote physical and mental health and well-being. Sessions can encourage the body’s natural healing process, reduce stress, increase mindfulness and provide an overall sense of relaxation. The treatment includes light touch in specific areas of the body to focus energy and healing.

In what format is Reiki offered?

Devon offers in-person individual sessions. She also teaches Level 1 and 2 Reiki as a Reiki Master.
