How does coaching work?
Coaching is proven to work when there are three factors present within you, as the Client. These three key elements are all that are necessary for the Coach and the Client to create awareness, find solutions, invigorate your life with focused purpose, and design a plan of action.
You are willing to grow.
You have the ambition to work towards your vision and goals.
There is a gap between where you are now and where you want to be.
The goal with our coaching is for you to build confidence, increase your energy and have greater fulfillment in your life through being given the space to tap into your inner wisdom and intuition, learning practical mindfulness techniques and live aligned with your values and inner passion. With our guidance and support you will know feel in control and be confident in your direction.
Each Professional Coach has their own style of Coaching. I am a Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation. I want to share with you my mindset and what I expect of my clients and what my clients can expect of me.
I Expect Your Best
If you are hiring me, then you are ready to do and be your best. If you are having a challenge with doing your best we will explore what is in the way, and then help you to get back on to your path.
I Will Make Direct Requests and You Will Have Work
During our sessions I aim to be direct such as, “When will that action be complete?” You may accept or present an alternate offer of action that is the right one for you at the time. Between sessions, there will be actions and resolutions to work on. Each session based on what worked and what did not we can adjust the way you conquer your goals.
I Hold Space
In today’s busy world we tend not to sit in silence for long. During our sessions there will be times when there is silence. Please be open to sitting in silence with your thoughts to gain clarity. I’m not here to pepper you with questions or run through a script; this is your time to really allow yourself to think.
I Am Open and Honest
At times, I’ll ask if it’s ok to make specific suggestions based on the information you have presented. I may make observations to bring your awareness to some connections or limitations you may not have realized yet. I am straightforward and expect the same from you. Brainstorming together for alternatives are a part of open discussion. The ultimate decision is always yours to make.
I Pay Attention
When I hear a funny tone in your voice, or notice something amiss, I’ll ask you about it. I may even interrupt you if I hear an opportunity to share the chance to resolve something. However, I don’t confront or push; I’ll merely invite you to look at something.
I Am Here
I am here to share with – anything that is preventing you from performing at your best. Whether it’s personal or even the coaching process (or me) we are partners and I am here to share with.
